Product Features:
Hydroxypropyl Gamma Cyclodextrin solubilizes large molecules, such as cholesterol, for use in cell culture. Hydroxypropyl gamma cyclodextrin is similar to betacyclodextrin but solubilizes larger molecules.
Product Usage:
After hydroxypropylation of the product hydroxypropyl-γ-cyclodextrin, water solubility further increased to 80g/100ml (25 ℃), at the same time after hydroxypropylation of γ-cyclodextrin is no longer a single product, but a variety of substitutions coexist in the mixture, in the molecular inclusion with the guest is not easy to generate the inclusion of crystalline precipitation, in general, the hydroxypropyl-γ-cyclodextrin has a higher solubility in water, a stronger resistance to crystallization precipitation ability. Overall, hydroxypropyl-γ-cyclodextrin has higher solubility in water and stronger resistance to crystallization. γ-cyclodextrin solubility in water is 23.2g/100ml (25℃), but the solubility still limits its application in some cases.
It is recommended to be used in higher value-added products, such as pharmaceuticals, health care products, cosmetics and other specialty materials or hydroxypropyl-β-cyclodextrin incapable of encapsulation of larger molecules to deal with.
